Nally Joins CN Racing As Team Seeks Scottish Success

Irishman Cody Nally will join both Josh Day and Glenn Irwin when CN Racing head north to Knockhill for the latest rounds of both the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship and Motorpoint British Supersport Championship.

Nally from Athlone in County Westmeath takes over the Honda Fireblade vacated by Danny Buchan earlier in the season and will remain with the Hebden Bridge-based team for the remainder of 2012 where he will join Cirencester's Josh Day aboard the ten Kate prepared machines in the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship.

Day, who won the Metzeler National Superstock 600 Championship in 2010, has seen resurgence in form recently and hopes to continue where he left off at Snetterton where he scored his best result of the season last time out. Nally meanwhile hasn't enjoyed the best of fortunes so far this season as he still searches for his first points which could come this weekend as he's enjoyed podium success at the Fife circuit in the past.

Looking to build on his lead in the Motorpoint British Supersport Cup is Carrickfergus rider Glenn Irwin who brings his CN Racing-supported Met Healthcare and Megastore 247 Yamaha R6 to Knockhill having scored four wins and three second places in the opening eight races.

The young Ulsterman currently enjoys a 32.5 point lead over his nearest rival Luke Jones and will be once again knocking on the door of an outright podium finish where he will hopefully enjoy the support of a number of Irish fans who traditionally make the trip over.

Dwayne McCracken, Crew Chief: "We are delighted to welcome Cody into the team as we know what a quality rider he is and he hasn't enjoyed the best of luck so far this season. Hopefully that will change now and both he and Josh can be challenging high up the leaderboard into the second half of the season. Glenn has done a fantastic job since coming back to us and all he needs to do is the same as he has been doing in recent rounds and he can hopefully get another couple of wins and to challenge for a top five place outright as we know he is capable of that."
