Colborne race report: Go Team Go

2011-05-25 19:45
This past Sunday round two of the Off Road Ontario XC series took place in Colborne, Ontario. Yamaha/Machine Racing's Brian "Wojo" Wojnarowski took another victory, but it wasn't a run away by any means.

KTM rider Josh Long got out in front of Wojo on lap two and stayed there until lap five, where Wojo passed him. Orange took the lead back when Long came in through the check first on lap six, but ultimately Wojo put the four-stroke power to the ground, getting out in front of Long's 300 on lap seven and staying there until the end.

"We're getting things figured out," said Wojo after the race. "I couldn't have been happier with the start. It was my first hole shot on the 450; I was pretty pumped about that."
Speaking of pumped, Yamaha/Machine Racing Off Road team manager, John Nelson, was super pumped with the performance of the blue bikes; Yamaha riders topped all four afternoon podiums. "It was a good day for Yamaha, for sure," the face of Machine Racing said. "You know, I'm not the easiest man to please, or impress, but you can't be crusty about those kind of results."
The next stop for Wojo and the boys in blue: Mansfield, Ontario, for Round 3 of the OOXC series.
Wojo would like to thank all of his sponsors: Yamaha, Machine Racing, LGS, Podium Grafix, Bondi Engines, Works Connection, Yamalube, Rekluse, AXO Gear, PerformX, Orthoflex, LRP and AME Grips for their support.
