VP Selected as Offical Fuel of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

Track officials today announced a multi-year agreement naming VP Racing Fuels the Official Fuel of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. As part of the agreement, VP will be the exclusive supplier of race fuels on site at the track.

"VP Racing Fuels is the perfect partner to help us offer race fuel blends that are customized for motorsports," said Gill Campbell, CEO/general manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. "The racers that compete at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca expect a world-class facility and VP Racing Fuels is the world leader in race fuel technology, which benefits both the club and professional racer."

"VP is very excited to be named Official Fuel of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, truly one of the premier motorsports facilities in the world," said Bruce Hendel, Western Regional Manager for VP. "Competitors can now choose to fuel with either VP110 leaded fuel or VP100 street legal unleaded—the same fuel used in the American Le Mans series—right at the pump! VP will also be participating in the ‘market place’ vendor area at the major events with general fuel information as well as technical help."

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca hosts five world-class race weekends each season, with elite road racing series from around the world visiting the Monterey Peninsula every year. The 2.238 mile track with 11 turns has tested some of the most prestigious racers in history—Roger Penske, Dan Gurney, Parnelli Jones, Kenny Roberts, Bobby Rahal, Wayne Rainey and Valentino Rossi to name a few. Since it opened in 1957, Can-Am,Trans Am, IMSA, AMA motorcycles, CART Indy Car, Grand Prix Motorcycling and American Le Mans Series have all seen action at Mazda Raceway. More recently, the track’s MotoGP events have created a phenomenal global following for the track.

VP Racing is the Official Racing Fuel of the American Le Mans Series, NHRA Championship Drag Racing, Star Mazda and USF2000 as well as fuel of choice for champions in AMA Superbike, ASRA, CCS and many more.
