National Enduro Series - 6th round Park Hills, MO

2010-05-18 00:39
FMF/KTM rider Cory Buttrick finished 2nd overall at the sixth round of the National Enduro Series while his teammate, Russell Bobbitt, toughed out a 9th place result riding through a shoulder injury suffered the week prior.

Buttrick finished well in the first section but suffered a crash in the second. He raced the next three tests mistake free but suffered a final crash in the last test section resulting in a 2nd place overall. "I felt like a rode to the best of my ability today and am happy with my overall result. I really enjoy racing the National Enduros and hope to finish on the top of the podium before the end of the season," commented Buttrick.

Bobbitt, who dislocated his shoulder during a local Hare Scramble event the weekend before, struggled on the technical course. "My shoulder is still really sore. If was tough to hold on in almost every section. Since this course was pretty technical I had to ride more cautious to ensure I would not make my injury worse. I was glad to still salvage some points at the end of the day."

The next event will be held in Upton, WY on June 20th.
