Team-mate Chris Vermeulen carried out a similar test schedule to Hopkins today and consistently improved on his times as the day progressed. He recorded 61 laps of the 5.3km circuit and clocked a fastest time of 1'57.94, almost a second quicker than his best time during last year's Qatar Grand Prix.
Rizla Suzuki MotoGP will carry out a full and comprehensive test of Bridgestone race tyres - that have been specially designed for this track ' over the remainder of the test: The Japanese tyre company will be working closely with the team to get the best grip and durability for the GSV-R around this desert circuit.
