2012 zx14r question

Ok so I went to the track tonight and have been wondering why the mph was only in the mid 140s@9.39-.42 then I had a pass at 147.8@9.36 up from 144.6@9.40 from the previous pass I didn't think I did anything different but someone said I had shifted to 6th at the end somewhere so I went back out and shifted to 6th at the 1000' even though I wasn't hitting the limiter in 5th and sure enough back to 147.9 the DA was 6,600 at the time. So how can that happen I thought the new 14r made power all the way to redline I have the Brocks ct single, Pc5 with Brock's street map, flies out, 16/45 gears, stretched 8" over, foot shifting at 10,600 also the track was hooking good with the shinko hook up. So does anyone have any idea why I can gain 3-4 mph by short shifting at the end of a run.

If you shift near the traps, it can cost you mph, even though ET will be near the same.

Yeah that's why I'm not getting how the bike is gaining the 3-4 mph that fast in the last 320' it don't make any since because normally you'll loose mph and some ET shifting like that but who knows.
As far as traction the track was only sprayed to the 1/8th but it was hooking good to the 1/8th and it didn't feel like it was spinning in the back half but it could have because the track has been known to be slick that's why I shortened the bike up it was at 10 over and it would spin most of the track. Either way the new 14R is a beast.

It was gaining 30 mph on the back half on the 147 mph passes and 26-27 mph on the 143-144 passes all were very close to the same 1/8th mph within 1.3 mph
