ZX14R Upgrades
Looking to upgrade my 14R for grudge racing. Though I know the bike is probably faster already than anything I will ever face street wise, I just want to have an extra edge for when I meet a mean step brother(another zx14r) at the track. So far I have came up with a list of modifications I am considering: Guhl ECU flash, Adams Ported head(maybe cams as well), nitrous spray bar with maybe a 30-40 shot, progressive controller, and a air shifter. I am not sure on the cams for a head or not but have been unable to find much information on setting a ported head on a 2012 zx14. This is why I am asking the gurus to help me out. Those who have dabbled in the aftermarket world can you tell me what working and what’s not. I am thinking with the listed modification I could see a 65-70 RWHP which would give me a little edge at the track over other zx14 while still keeping the bike fun for weekend rants. I am just the navigator of my bike and my pilot is a highly seasoned veteran so I am more doing It for someone who has more seat time than i. Of course we will see where we are at in stock trim with the brock’s map/pipe and the +8 arm but I am just looking down the road for the next few months
Thanks
