How do I modify the stock ZX14R exhaust for better sound and performance without adding a PC or burning up the valves?
I just bought a 2012 XZ14R. I can not afford after market pipes but I would like to at least make it growl a little more while retaining the stock exhaust. How do I modify the stock ZX14R exhaust for better sound and performance without adding a PC or burning up the valves? Can anyone help me with this?

A few guys put older Brocks or Muzzy systems on the 14R when they first got them, until they could get a system and PCV made for the new bike. You could take a look in the classifieds and pick up a system made for the 06 - 11 models. Anyone want to chime in with what the AFR was with the older exhaust on the new bike and no PCV?

I would just wait until I could do it right. Or find a cheap pair of slip ons.
I can't remember, but do the slip ons from a gen1 fit gen2?

Thank you everyone for your advice. I was hoping for a D.I.Y, no cost exhaust mod that did not endanger the engine and does not require a fuel mapping unit such as a PC that would give my zx14r a bit more growl...
