evo shift kit

Factory pro evo star kit, will this kit shorten the throw of the shift lever, sometimes have an issue with the 1 to 2 shift getting caught halfway in second, doesnt seem to be a problem with 2nd gear cause once its in its in, but sometimes while shifting as soon as the pressure is released from foot after shifting the bike will come out of second and go into nuetral but once its put in second theirs no problem accelarating hard, could this be a slightly worn shift fork? would it be the output or input? Just looked at the manual for swapping one out, confident i could do it but would like to get some feedback as to what type of issue i'm having and what would be the first thing to look for. thanks in advance for any info, I'm sure its posted but for some reason my searches come up with alot of extra stuff, looking for more straight to the point

forgot to add, i do have a quick shifter and if i back the kill time off for 85 milli then it shifts fine but it used to be set at 70 without issues, now 2nd is not locking in unless the extra kill time is added, seems like if the kit shortens the travel of the shifter itself like the zx10 throw then that would be the route to take

AS WITH ANY SHIFTER DO NOT HAVE TOO SHORT OF KILL TIME OR YOU WILL BEAT UP THE DOGGYS AND THEN YOU GET TO SPLIT THE CASE`S TO SEND THE 2 GEAR SHAFTS TO MARK AT R&D MOTORSPORTS IN FLORIDA..........your choice.

but after you send it to Mark you can turn the kill time down even further(50-65 depending on what cut it gets)
