zx14 vs hayabusa vs bmw

zx14 vs hayabusa vs bmw
not much in between these bikes, hpwise, only 8hp zx14r-busa,kind of confirms my suspicion that the hp of the zx14 has been exaggerated or and that some people have been telling fairy tales with their stories about 20-30 rwhp difference
and only less than a tenth in the 1/4 mile...Yep there is not a lot in it and it all comes down to the rider.

since Suzuki didn't spend any money on their bike, it's easy for them to throw a few dollars at the magazine companies. The horsepower numbers I saw for the Busa was about right, if not a little high. they said 186 for the 14R, the numbers I've been seeing or 195 hp. the horsepower numbers will become pretty obvious when you get both bikes to the track with equal riders.

for those of us that used to race the ZX12's, all this crying about the motor being bigger on the 14R, is putting a smile on my face, because we all know it used to be the other way around. The busa guys would not acknowledge the hundred cc smaller that the ZX12 was. But it still made 5 hp more than the busa LOL.

And the zx14 having an 8 hp advantage but being 16lbs heavier just about evens it out too ,no wonder nobody has gone any quicker on a stock motor zx14, than a stock motor busa yet

LOL, 8 hp difference. I had a 2011 Busa, and believe me, the difference is way more than 8 hp; at least twice that based on my personal dyno testing. That 8 hp is magazine stuff. Nobody but a 'Busa fanboy believes those numbers.

I can tell you that my 14r made the same peak power my 08 big bore busa made. My 08 busa was just piston's no head work or cams. They both made 194 hp on same dyno different day.I will still have to dyno my 14 with my CT So 8hp stock to stock? I am having a hard time swalling that.. My 14 was stock @ 194 hp..Cheers

I couldn't agree more. I also own a Busa along with the 14 and am a member on Hayabusa.org. I just got on there and reminded everyone of the old Gen 1 Busa/ZX12 battle and how the 12 made more power even though it was 100cc's smaller. Waiting to see how many I just pissed off.
