Derpie, I rode my 9R a lot on the track and used to just lift my knee once it was touching down, I tried the same thing on the 14 but I was draggin lower fairing a lot quicker than I expected, handles well for a big bike but not in the same class as a crotch rocket. Overhaul very impressed, nothing could touch it on the long front straight.........

Right , I always wanted to try the track but I remember dragging the lowers on a zx12 so naturally I thought the zx14 would drag too.

Oh yeah it drags ! I wore holes in both lowers at one point lol! Now the lowers are painted the same color as the bike so I am trying to keep them spotless
It touches down a little too easy with the 190/50 but with the 190/55 it's much harder to to touch the lowers down. It's strangw but you wouldn't think a tire would make that difference but it does!

Lock, pilot power front, pilot road read, dual compound, the guy on the B king is a local racer/instructor with DOT race tires, I killed him on the main straight but I could not touch him on the corners! His bike was pimped out too, pipes, commander etc, no excuse, just younger, better rider who knows the track inside & out.

Hahaha! Even with the experience and mods he couldn't hang when the road straightens out !
That's what one of the instructors at willow springs found out when he thought he could stay ahead of me

Well they were saying you can lean harder with the 190 55 than the stock 190 50 so for you to drag your fairings I,m assuming your leann has to be more than 50 degrees

yikes if that's true then that explains why it's much harder to scrape the fairings with the 190/55.
It scraped way too easy with the 190/50 , then I tried the 180/55 and it was better but still scraped. Was pretty bad at one point when hard stuff started touching down, like the midpipes on both sides and the kickstand! Now I have to try to make the bike scrape and I will tell you it's a pretty good lean angle!
But I am hanging off a lot more now and haven't scraped the fairings since I've painted them and that's alright by me

So are you still running the 180 or the 190 55 ??

You might want to get your suspension set up specifically for you or stiffen more so it won't scrape. I'd tweak the suspension stiffer and hang off more if you need too to prevent scraping. Just my opinion.
Looks like a fun time. I'm not far from Mid-Ohio course and I love that place.

My suspension is as setup as it can be with the stock equipment.
Since I've went with the 190/55 and have been hanging off a bit more I don't scrape no more.

I loved when I had a 190/55 on my bike, but I still scraped the side on the mountain roads. Those pics look great btw!
