Deal's Gap 2010
Western NC, Eastern TN, and North Ga, and the Tail of the Dragon is awaiting us.
I'm heading up 1st trip in April, then escaping the FL heat for good and spending the summer in the mountains.

Is the gap back up and running? Last I heard was that TDOT were assessing the damage done by the rock slide and pondering to whether or not even reopening the tail of the dragon at all this year........

This past week the date has gone from March to September to August for opening of The Dragon, it's only one of many wonderful roads there to ride.

The Gap is open from 8 am to 8 pm until they get a lane cleared from the TN side.
Will down there with another 14 buddy the first week of June at the Two Wheel Inn...
If anybody is in the area stop by in the evening and say hello. I'll be the drunk one laying in front of my room by my 2007 14...
You can identify mine by the rear fender nutz...

hey Steve, I an a bunch of others will be at Skeenah Creek Camp Ground in SUches GA from the holiday weekend, (memorial day I think it is) to the first week in June. If you wanna come up I will send you my phone number so we can make some plans....I am sure Ben has the details as well...

sorry bro, been away for a while......I missed this....every year the ZRXOA does 2 rallys a year up there in Skeena Creek.....the weekend after memorial day, and the weekend after Labor day....its always those same weekends...and anyone is welcome....since the smackhouse guys dont get together anymore I ride with those hooligans.....

Depends on where it would be held, but I'm game if it's within reasonable distance -- planning to go tackle the Dragon this year for the first time - my wife's folks live around Lynchburg, TN and my father lives in nothern Alabama - so we hope to spend a couple weeks in that region this summer and visit with family as well as partaking in plenty of riding - haven't figured dates yet, but want to go in mid-June so we can be back home by July to make the races
