US price for the 2010 VFR confirmed
I took a break from work this morning and noticed that the US price has been confirmed @ http://powersports.honda.com/ .
At $15,999, that put’s it at the same price point as the K1300S.
As a comparison, the price in France for the 1200F is almost 10% lower than the K13S.
Go figure !

The Unstable dollar makes it difficult for Honda of Japan to price it much lower. The future has too many question marks to try a 14,999 price so 15,999 seems safe enough from a profit standpoint.

correct... there's not much "go figure" in that one... the greenback keeps sliding against all global currencies... I'm surprised the bike isn't more considering how low the dollar is right now

The new BMW S1000RR is going to make a lot of people try beemers for the first time.
This year I've been to the beemer shop 5 times, which is about the same as the last 10 yrs!!

I was ready to go for the K1300s when the news broke of this bike. I don`t think the standard transmission version will sell well and the BIG surprise is the lack of traction control. The electronics are already in place with the ABS braking and fly by wire throttle. So, in 3 weeks we can have a look at the NYC motorcycle show.

I saw the bike and price at Long Beach and really want one but, the $15,995.00 tag is telling me that I am not getting one until my lawsuit pays off.
Does anyone know a release date yet?

I'm sure the Beemer guys would not agree but their bikes seem to have a fair number of reliability issues and BMW doesn't always take care of them even when in warranty. Also the lack of dealerships is a drawback as far as I'm concerned. I knocked a mirror off my Goldwing in the middle of the mountains in Colorado and found a dealer within 2 hours that was willing to give me a mirror off a new showroom bike to get me back on the road in less than an hour. Try to find a BMW dealer to do that for you.
