Area P - Special Projects.

We always welcome special projects that are somewhat outside of what we would normally do in production. So when clients ask about can you do this or that, we try and take our slogan of "No-Limits" literaly. Thought I'd share a few:

406 Rodac headers with internal muffler system for a Sand rail project. 723 hp.

Rare 998r - full carbon body work, testerotta engine. 54mm full exhaust to replace his Termi Slip-Ons. Came in with 108.89 hp/65.47 tq. Left with 121.69 hp/71.20 tq. Sounded awesome.

Busa Sidewinder. I believe this client indicated he was in the 260 hp area (or shooting for)after mapping with his local tuner. That's one of our 490 hp/497 tq WRX's in the background.

Clean and simple old school evo chopper drag pipes. Stepped headers with internal baffles out to 2-1/4". Client was all about the looks and sound. Could care less about power. Bless his heart, we were happy to oblige.

9" Ford Gusset Fabrication. Desert Racer Rear End. No more flex here.

Mitsu Evo Exhaust - Titainum, Inconel, Carbon Fiber, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. Client wanted the "works" type pie sections for bends and all the exotic metals we had. Make it one-off.

MV F4. Client wanted Akro R1 Ti/Carbon mufflers mounted in place of the oem 4 piper. Never heard it run, but probably sounded pretty nasty.

RC51 Slip-Ons. One of the coolest sounding twins.

Subaru Rally light bar & 6 big Hella's. Pretty hard to miss anything at night with those.

CAD designed scratch built race car. Right hand drive, ZX14 engine, Jeffco Box, Paddle Shifters, projected weight of 1100 lbs. Chassis #2 work in process.

Ford Ranger build. Started with a new vehicle. Bumper to Bumper build-up. Fully caged front to back, Front Arms, Four link rear , 9" spool rear end, King Shocks & Bumps, Recaro's, Aluminum Dash, Tire Mounts, Wide Fenders, Fuel Cell, Lights and light bar, the list literly goes on and on and on.... This is basically a street legal desert race truck with 28" of available travel.

Furano Radar Mounts - Land, Sea or Air. We don't care. We like it all !

Dog tired and tongue hanging at the end of another day.

Hey Kerry!

Good looking stuff you have there, as always. I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you publicly for all your help with the Aaron Lephart CBR600RR FX special project in which I was involved a few years back.

This particular Inconel was tricky, as we used much thinner wall material than normal (.025"). We always TIG thin wall projects. On this one, we use a Hydrogen/Argon mix, as well as saturate the area with piped in Hydrogen/Argon from inside. It makes for a very clean weld and minimizes the contamination. As strange as it may sound, the client actually wanted the Titanium coned outlets "colored". So we took a map gas torch to them for some rainbow affect.

I recently had Area P make a custom muffler for my Muzzy exhaust. Kerry was great to deal with, and the work was done very quickly at a reasonable cost. It's nice to know that there are still companies out there who will work with the customer like Area P does.

Thanx to everyone. And happy holidays to all. The special projects are really a pleasure for us to do. Even more-so, when it 's taking a client's desire and vision of something, working through it, and making it materialize for them.

So the Worm has turned Nice to hear your still around and kicking. Hope work is going well for you.
