Thank you. We do, but not under the Area P brand/label. We make them under our private label division for other companies. For 2009, we may debut these for Area P as well. Performance of both the conventional mount systems and sidewinders is really stunning. Stay tuned.

I have the bike scheduled. Just haven't got to it yet. The R1 & GSXR are the last two '09 models we have left to do.

if the stock header from a zx14 fits then I wouldn't think that it would be very hard to mod an aftermarket exhaust to fit.

It would probably be reasonably easy to simply modify an existing ZX14 aftermarket system to fit the C-14.

I just want the factory position for the concours with one outlet angled right (4 into 1). I am sure there is good money in it if someone offers a modified zx-14 header or a new one that can extract the hp hidden within. Need a new project???

Reguards,
Rob

Absolutely we would love to design, manufacture, and sell them. Here's the issue (and maybe it's really not even an issue): We can design a tapered big tube system that would make sustantial power. It would need to be a 4-2-1 for proper powerband. But, it would be necessary to flow it through a larger core muffler to take advantage of the design. So between the larger headpipe tubes, merge collectors, and larger core muffler design, it would significantly increase the sound level (say as compared to our C-14 Slip-On). Additionally, it would require a PC3 with proper map to take advantage of the new system.

So, not sure how much of a market on this particular bike for a $7 or $800 exhaust system, plus $300 or so PC3 with canned map (more for a custom map), and a substantial increase in the sound level. But I would love to hear if there is !

I'm in! Heck people are paying $1200 for the muzzy duals, not sure how much of an increase they get. A lot of us already have the pc3 on our bikes, just change the program. Flies out and a "REAL" exhaust, now we are talking. On top of all that ,I would assume it should also fit a zx-14, and that would be a big market indeed!!!

Ok we'll look at the project. The C-14 engine is in a completely different state-of-tune than the ZX14. The design and R&D process needs to reflect that. So just because it might "fit" on one or both, that doesn't mean it would work as well as it should. We'll design it specifically for the C-14 engine, powerband and convenience features (centerstand, proper bag clearance, etc.).

Thanks, Kerry....yes, I'm still working long hours and still kicking like a baby that needs a good long nap ...I do need to stop by one of these days to buy some of that Silent Sport material for my KLR650's RT-4 slip-on...any dual-exhaust projects projected for the Can-Am Spyder?...I don't have one, but wifey is interested in getting one one of these days...and you know how us moto-enthusiasts are...we can't leave well enough alone

How much more power would you suspect you could gain over just a slip on and pcIII? It would be great to have the cat's gone, and I am sure I would not want the air injection system working with your exhaust, would be plain nasty backing off the throttle. My friends bike, the one where we removed the cat's from the stock header, will crack mean backfires, BOOM!
Keep us informed Kerry!

Rob
