the 600 is the master
Due to the fact the 600 class is the ruler of all motorbikes, I'm with Worm...why was this thread moved to the smackhouse?
http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?TID=30904&FID=2
(I thought we had the mods in check regarding moving threads around)

I'm stunned at your last post in the smackhouse on this thread topic - everyone knows the 600's are the fastest bikes out there unless your into red light to red light or other straight line applications :P
Some guys on the track can't stand seeing this on a 600 bike either hehe but personally I adore her

true dat....if you can't do much performance riding except straight lines from red light to red light. The 600 kills the other bikes when skills are involved.

It absolutely baffles me that people think the bigger CC bikes outperform the little ones. there is NO WAY to convince me human life can be so retarded.
I have both bikes and not being partial to one or the other its like this:
Low end torgue from red lights, fast in the straights, and most importantly the chicks dig it, the ZX14 or any of the litre-leaners I've owned.
Performs performs performs performs and totally sux at anything except performing and then performs performs performs some more is the 600RR.
But hold up, I'm not talking smack, bring yer full leathers and your big bike to the race track or any mountainous road and lets see who is right.

It is a very small group of humans who can truly ride a litrebike to it's full potential.
The reason we don't put kids on big bike to learn is that they impede your development as a rider. They overwhelm your senses and dull your perception of corner speed which promotes a point-and -shoot riding style (slow in - spinning tire out).
For the rest of us, a 600s full potential is more accessible, more pleasurable and safer.

I believe the 1000 series bikes in the proper hands will produce the fastest lap times. At least during the track days I've been at . BUT - for new to intermediate riders the 600's do fair much better.

ya, I agree we can debate this forever too. Sure in a pro's hands the litre bike will prevail. But at what point of experience does that happen. When I look at the expert class of CCS/ASRA, the same riders get the 600 bike around quicker. I'm nowhere near expert so sure I can get a 600RR around a lot quicker.

It's a "my penis is bigger than your penis" thing steve, there's no use arguing. I don't suggest 600's as good beginners nowadays since they're power is like earlier literbikes practically. Which most of the older fellas around here DIDN'T learn on. They learned on bikes in the 80's-90's that were WAY slower than today's 600's. Sooo, to recap, a 600 is a fierce machine too. Most of your normal older guys that have ridden everything that are mature and not into macho-ism, love them and mainly own them; it's not a big penis thing to them. They know where the most fun factor is....600.
