Poll Question: Are you wired?
Do you listen to music when you ride, do you think you ride better with tunes?
Or it doesn't make a difference to your riding, it just make it more fun?

I don't listen to music, but thats because I battle to keep my earphones in my ears when I put my helmet on.
But I'd love to listen to music while I ride.

Music = distraction
Make your own notes.. with your megaphone (exhaust)

I agree with toolman. To much distraction. If your just going to cruise around like your on a gold wing or in a car its probably ok. But if your riding aggressive or just above the pace your attention needs to be on the road. Not to mention that you lose all your audio cues about whats going on around you.
The only way to stay safe it total situational awareness which is hard enough to maintain at all times without music.

Today my buddy and I did 300+ miles on back roads and we ended up too far...haha. We decided to take some freeway home. We was on it for about 20miles and I found myself singing like a retard in my helmet. I get bored just sitting there day dreaming. It was the worst part of the ride, but we was getting sore. Now I'm at my PC and it hurts when I sit...lol.
Oh yeah, I don't think music and street riding is a good idea either.

I used to have the same problem, now I use the kind that hook over the ear.
