most reliable bike?....beat this.

2010 Kawasaki C14

Over 23,000 flawless miles.

Not so much as a header bolt loose, idling needing adjustment, battery replacement, bulb replacement or throttle cables needing attention.

Have you had a more reliable bike? I doubt it. Post up, I'd like to hear about it.

Well aside from my bike getting totalled 4 times .... The motor in my Passion Red 14 has had only one problem and that was the CCT failing at a little over 50k .Other wise 0 problems in almost 70K miles.

I think I'll get 200k no problem on my 14. Compression is unchanged from new. Valves and their clearances are perfect. I think the cam chain will need replacing at around 100k but I will replace it soon just because I consider it preventative maintenance. Also I think I'll do the rod and main bearings at around 100k unless I see fools gold sooner.

Cant say I've ever had a bike long enough to stack on more than 30k, but never had any real "major" issues with any of them -- but Steve, it sounds like you got a middle of the week production machine right there! Better kiss and pet her often so she stays happy and problem-free Maybe send a thankyou card to your salesman with a blowjob IOU in it?

If you are getting 8k out of a set of tires you surely aren't stressing out this bike. The thing should last forever. I only have 17k on this one and I am on my 6th or seventh set of Pilot Road 2CTs. They just laugh at me when I go into the shop for more tires.

TedG, I can ride mine 750 miles up the freeway to get to the meet spot in the mountains or a gal's house a few hundred miles from Tampa. 8k miles from a set isn't hard to do.

I'm riding the whels off this biatch. Track day coming up on it soon, need some pics of the bags nearing the tarmac

I am almost done with my second set of pads. On a typical ride my rear ABS goes off 50 -100 times because the rear tire is sliding around. Good thing it has a slipper clutch.
There are tons of twisty roads here that you can just tear it up. 30 miles in any direction (except east) and you are on your way up a nasty ass mountain. Go east and you can find straights the wring things out. Just the other day I did a quick run up to 162 (GPS) with the big windscreen. The only problem with here is the altitude, It robs power big time, which is good because the tires wouldn't last as long as they do. But I have been running around on 49 in mid Calif and it is under 1000 feet and the power difference is really astounding,

See above post.
We have some nasty ass roads just a few miles away. Sheer cliffs, One road that I ride is the one that they call the Virginia City hill climb and a guy died sliding off the road in a car during the race. They said he was doing 110ish and couldn't make the turn, On that small straight I hit 130 and brake at his skid marks, 145 on the ZX10. And that is uphill, I can muster more speed going down.
