What would you change? IF you could have Kawi change just one item on the GTR1400 before it goes to the assembly line for its first year production run?
I would ask to have a dual muffler system similiar to the ZX14.

Ok, now show how you are going to route that muffler around the shaft drive unit...
Myself, I would ditch the glove box and have a top bag as an option.

i'd lose the electrically adjustable windscreen. i've never seen the point of that, and it's more complexity, more cost, more weight, and more to break.

Uhh ...ya but, more of the newer ST designs are going away from duals now...makes sense too. You can always change the pipes for after market and gain some performance, not to mention the substantial weight loss too. I'm sure that a number of manufacturers will have pipes, slip ons at least...

I always thought the electirc windshields were stupid as well, untill I had my FJR. No every sport touring bike should have it. On long highway stints put the shield up for no buffeting, then down for some airflow.

I hope the VVT does what it's designed to do and is not too complex.
I'm not too crazy about the glove box, hope it does not hinder mounting a decent tank bag. The guys from GIVI were over taking measurements, etc. and they were also concerned about the glove box.
I'm committed...........I'm buying one!

Reported over at the COG website that the exhaust cam is driven by a chain from the crankshaft. The intake cam is driven by a chain from the exhaust cam. The exhaust cam sprocket is a mechanical device similiar to the mechanical advancer in an older auto distributor. As rpms increase it provides more overlap by changing the intake cam lobe center. The exhaust cam is fixed and has no v v t.

changes I would want a lower seat height so i can reach the ground, heated bars and maybe it's own radio. I live in Canada where it cools off in the night, so heated bars would be nice.

Some ingenius guy may very well make a tank bag mount the replaces the glove box. Isn't there a tank bag mount that fits the fuel cap ring of some bikes? Looks to me like a similiar system would replace the glovebox .
