have you looked at that ZX10 bike? do you wonder why Kawi they can't GIVE them away?

A mod was done to one in the ZX10 forum that came out nice and removed the goofy look on the front

Back on topic....some cheap BRAND NEW Yamaha R1's out there!

Well, on topic...they can't make an R1 cheap enough for me. I don't think $11k is much of a deal on one, to be honest. They just aren't that great, imo....

They have to be one of the most "posed upon" machines of all time. All the (same old) looks, all the handling...and chicken strips a mile wide...

How about they change the looks, say, next decade?

Each to his own shane I appreciate your views. I'm watching the motorcycle sales #s and world leagues such as motogp, wsbk, and ama (here) and it appears yamaha just aint doing all that bad.

Now, Kawasaki on the other hand..... Terrible '08 sales and dropping out of race leagues like water drops off Niagara Falls...

And yeah there's a little bait for a predominantly Kawasaki forum

Britney Spears sells more albums these days than Led Zeppellin....does that mean it's better music?

I'm sure you've got some Brintey in your collection, Steve....

I also appreciate your views.

Yeah, I've owned many of each the Jap bike brands, except Yamaha I've only owned one so far.

Anyway, I like 'em and ride 'em all but hoping for a debate!

On a serious note, I think Kawasaki does a very poor job of marketing some very good motorcycles. And the racing effort is part of that...

Yeah its sad to see them pulling out of this and that for sure. And I agree they make great bikes and usually the fastest, although they really did a design fuggup to trash 2008 ZX10 sales. Folks couldn't get past the looks to see the performance. And the ZX6 sales have been lagging for years,

Between the two bikes, we see them cut way back on racing budget. While other brands are throwing truckloads at racing.

I might try to pick up a 10R next winter...Ditch the mirrors and I'm there. Of course, you know I'm into straight line speed and the bike already handles 10x better than I am rider...

Well, One of my friends has seen my bike....and will be taking advantage of these prices as well. I will post pics as soon as he gets it. He is interested in the black/red combo. lol He actually wanted the same color that I got. I know he will enjoy he previously owned the 2005 R1.
