It's an 04 w/ 06 anniv. stickers & my own color mix.
Yes, it's that one. Just put the 1st ride on the new motor. got 150 miles on it & I've kept it below 8500rpms. It lifts in the 1st 4 gears at that rpm. Alittle much! Not gonna be drag racing this thing anytime soon. But, it will push me around the roadracing track pretty nice. I've got to throw a slipper clutch & the brembo master in her before that 1st track day though. The increased comp. makes for some serious engine braking.
The acceleration is just insane, & i've not full throttled it yet.

so sweet - I saw the extensive set of mods on the other R1 forum.
I see the transponder and lap timer in a few of the pics, I suspect you're anxious to get the monster on the track with the clutch and brakes forthcoming

That's where she'll live most of her riding time. I'll do some street time with her but, I'm not too keen on swapping slicks to street tires every week on the very pricey Carbon wheels.
I've attempted to run DOT race tires (michelin pilot race) for both street & track apps. But, they only have so many heat cycles in them, I end up getting on the track with alot less stick than a fresh set.
So, track pics of her in action will be posted soon.

Pre-painted, day of the 100mph hi-side. Was running times in the upper part of the expert field. Tried to catch the fast guy on while riding greasy slicks & well the rest is history.

I absolutely needs a slipper clutch. The increased comp. makes engine braking a serious consideration.

Well, the "Killa Bee" R1 has stung it's first victim! IHard!!!! I've only got about 400miles on her & still didn't want to smash the rev-limiter. But, out on the open road I came across an 07 ZX10 w/ a full Akro exhaust. After a few throttle blips while running next to one another & he ran. I intentionally let him have a 6 bike length jump. Then, I rolled into it , never cracking 11k rpm. I reeled him in like a ZX14 would reel in a GSXR 750. I've not dynoed it completely yet, I'm just running a canned map that I got from Orient Express, I custom mapped it to 40%tp up to 6k rpm just to break her in. I'm going to finish the tune & I'll post the #'s. This R1 pulls harder than my 192hp ZX 14, so when I figure the weight differences I'm thinking 180hp+ should be a given. As I waited for the ZX10 owner to catch up, he pulled next to me & kinda just shook his head. I'm going looking for some 08 Busas'!

I threw it on the dyno & I've still got alil work to do tuning it over 11k rpms. It seems to fall off alil' & I did some research on the cams & they're set up for mid to upper mid range. I had about 400 miles on her & I laid the graph over an 06 ZX10 w/ 13.5 comp. & cams. The R1 ate it up everywhere to 11k then, it fell off. So, I've got alil more fine tuning to do. Peak power is probably going to fall in the 170ish hp range. Alil less than anticipated but, under 11k there is nothing out there that I've come acros that even comes close. This thing lifts the front wheel about 4 inches of the ground in 6th gear on power at 150mph. Fuckin Insane!
