S1000 RR

It seem dixit MCN that the beemer would be the bike of the year this year too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fADBQD3t8W8

Did anyone made a good deal in buying one of this S1000RR?
Did anyone bought that on internet (it's possible I think) ?
Did the retail price of a beemer is a lot more then the zx-10r 2011 full abs etc?

Any of you got kind of a probleme with the S1000RR ??
Heard that maybe the transmission ???

Price tag of Beemer S1000RR vs Zx-10r 2011 ???

Your impression and clues, all well very welcome...

Thanks.

I am a BMW and Kawasaki dealer and we have sold 11 S1000RRs since last year. The Retail price on the bimmer is about a grand more than the kawasaki with abs and traction control but the BMW also comes with 2 more years of warranty and about 10 more ponies..We have not had any issues on any of the BMWs we have sold. I had a S1000RR for a demo all last year and put about 2800 miles on it mostly street riding couple track days and a couple passes at the drag strip with now problems what so ever..If your looking at the BMW spend the extra $500 on the factory quick shift well worth it

I ran a 10.1@143 on a BONE stock S1000RR in 102 degree heat..We just got our first 2011 ZX-10s in last week so we havent got to play with one yet..I think either bike would make someone very happy..I just liked the fact that with the BMW you dont see one at every other red light and from a roll on they are NASTY

LOOKS like once you derestrict the ZX10 it will make 20+hp more and out power the BMW

Badly even with the deristricted zx-10r the bike come short in term of Hp and torque.
The BMW engine is just better, new architecture and oversquare (so theoritically can rev more then the zx-10r).

So need to wait next year for a new gsxr or cbr to beat the S 1000rr, but if there's an evolution of the S1000 rr, the game will be different.

Sure. That explains why the 10 outpowers the beemer in the 1/4 by about 7 mph.
