3 cracked frames!
3 cracked Gixxer frames I have personally seen now!
Scary.
Cracking right at the welds on the side of the tanks.
1st 2 I saw were 05 Gsxr 1K,
Now an 06 Gsxr 750!
Wish I would have had my camera.
The first G1K was last year, had cracked right beside the weld on left side of bike, the metal was broken right beside the weld.
The second G1K was last week, the weld did not appear to have penetrated the metal.
The 06 Gsxr 750 was due to what again appeared to be poor weld penetration.
Scary stuff.
BTW , I know the GSXR 750 was rappidly replaced on warranty... entire bike as it was a write off.
Within 4 hrs the owner was told he would get a new bike, they then rappidly crated the wreck and shipped it off.
Luckilly no major injuries.
Well .... there went the evidence!
