"found the motorcyclist's body 600 feet away"
PORTLAND, Ore. -- A Portland police officer found a motorcyclist's body on an Interstate 5 off-ramp early Friday morning.
Police said the 32-year-old motorcyclist had crashed into a barrier near the Morrison Bridge and the Interstate 5 southbound off-ramp. The officer, who was headed to the Multnomah County Detention Center, found the motorcyclist's 600 feet away from the motorcycle.
Investigators said the motorcyclist was speeding when he crashed into a barrier. He was thrown from the motorcycle and died instantly.
His identity has not been released by police.
