Corbin Seats on 2015 ZX-14R
Hi All
I just recently bought a brand new 2015 ZX-14R. Woo Hoo!! I've had a 1999 B'Bird since new and loved it, but since Honda aren't making the 'Bird anymore, I ended up switching to the big Ninja.
The one modification I made to the 'Bird was a Corbin seat - and it was the best investment I ever made - so the first thing I did when I bought the ZX-14R was to order a Corbin seat.
It arrived the other day and, to my amazement, simply won't fit! It's at least 15mm longer than the original and you just cannot get the various tabs and bolts to line up and lock.
The Corbin site has options of 2006-2011 and 2012-2016 for the ZX-14, so I chose the 2012-2016 option. The identification on the seat indicates it's a 2012 base, so I expect the order was correct - but it still doesn't fit!
Does anybody know if there's been a change in the seat geometry/linkages/mounts/etc between 2012 and now?
