Bike Cover

I will be towing my bike on an open trailer behind my car about 1000miles. I need a cover that can stand up to the wind and protect my bike from possible rock chips.

Anyone know of anything?

Thanks
Ryan

Hi Ryan. I would not recommend covering your bike with a cover for your trip. It will ruin your paint if any part of it is flapping in the wind. A real cheap way to help with rock chips or bug guts is saran wrap. Put it over all the leading edges ( headlights, front fairing, mirrors etc.. ) and once you get it in place go over it again with another layer. Just wrap that baby up..... It won't hurt your paint or leave a mess and you can put on as many layers as you wish. It will be cleaner that if you rode it there........

This company makes covers that are specifically made for bikes on open trailers:

Thanks everyone for the great replies. I didn't think about it flapping in the wind and messing up the paint but that is a good point. I will check out gezagear.com and see what they have to offer.
