Help With Dynojet LCD200
Hi All,
I have a 2006 ZX14 with power commander 5.
I'm just getting around to installing the "wideband 2" with lcd 200 screen. I have everything hooked up, the lcd screen lights up, the touch screen works, and it shows the gauges, but it is not reading any data.
I tried to update the firmware on the lcd screen, but when I plug the lcd screen into my computer via usb, the pc wont recognize the lcd screen.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Was plug and play for me. Ditto on calling DJ. They have decent support.

Hi InlandEmpireRider
You need to add & configure the channel you want it to display readings for. It's under the Gauge Setup menu. Select the Gauge layout you want then you can edit each gauge, then select the device, WB2 or PC5,etc then select the channels you want to see. There are also settings for each channel. The LCD 200 manual has all of this info.
Also, if you want to do any logging you need an SD card, must be 1GB or smaller and you need to specify which channels to log under the Log File Manage menu.
I run the WB2 and an LCD on my drag bike.. and I have gotten it to work good enough to log my AFR and other data, that I am confident in my tune being safe enough when I spray.. but there some issues I have with the LCD that you just have to learn to live with I guess? Like frequently, when you first turn it on, it reports no SD card even when one is inserted.. then it just sees it and works. Every now and then it just resets the device and I have to reconfigure everything.. no rhyme or reason for this behavior, but it really pisses me off when it happens as I am pulling up to the water box.. especially if I wanted to log the run. It's not enough that you have to reconfigure the gauge setup stuff again but have to reconfigure all the log channels etc. When it works it's fine. But it has issues for sure. I bet yours reset itself the first time it was turned on and that is why it's not reading anything. I recommend smashing it with a hammer. not cuz that is what I have done but because if I read you had done this it would make me feel better somehow.

Agreed, it's a total bugger when the screen 're-boots' for no reason. I've even had it happen on the run. Make sure your 5 different coloured wires are hooked up properly from the screen to the PC5, then I'd call DJ service because you need to reconfigure the system to pick-up the info and they know how to do it better than I do.
