2012-2013 Zx14r Big bore
Hey guy been off the board for a minute but wanted to pose a question on the new zx14r. Not that it really need it but has anyone tried a +2mm or +3mm bore on a 2012+ zx14r. I just aked because i see muzzy offers one. I mean the bike iw crazy fast now i woul dhave to figure that would make it insane.

It's just in our nature man. We can never leave stuff alone and are always trying to make it better/stronger/faster. I'm as guilty as the next person. :\
But no Bishop, I haven't seen anyone do it yet.

I owner how much more uffff would an extra 130cc (1570) give a new 14 that got to be a real kick in the pants with on einstalled

I think with the extra cc and a good port on the head could add another 20-30 ponies.Man im about to burn up a credit card

I've heard there was a shop that had a 3mil bore and 4 mill stroke on the 2012 motors Making 260 plus?

Nice how do you think a 3mm bore or even a 3mm bore and 4mm stroke would do to the bike as far as street manners. Now I’m not talking about power but more so talking about longevity and heating/cooling issues. I just remember the night mares of how hot my old zx12r ran with the 1270 and even the 1375 kit. You think kawi accounted for additional heat loads of the thinner walls of a 2-3mm bore

I think you would have heating issues on the street with a 3mm, but could probably be managed. Personally, I wouldnt go larger than a 2mm. It depends on who you speak with on bore size but if it's built correctly both will work. I still have a zx12 as well sitting in the corner and I know your pain with the heating issue.
