48 tbs
JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT THE 48 TBS WORK FROM JIM AT CNC WORK I HAVE A BUILT MOTOR 1500 + CC JIMS HEADS WITH CAMS, 5 DEGREE TEMP. DIFF. FROM BOTH DAYS OF TUNING AND ABOUT 11 HUMIDITY DIFF., NOW WHAT I CAN SAY IS BIKE WAS TUNED ON Q16 BOTH TIMES AND A MUZZY 4-1 SIDEWINDER THE FIRST TIME ......... WITH MUZZY SIDEWINDER AND STOCK TBS TO A BROCK TI-WINDER AND 48TBS THE BIKE PICKED UP 13.4 HP AND 2.1 #S OF TORQUE TUNED AT 12.5-12.6 ALL WAY THREW, SO SINCE I DONE BOTH TB AND PIPE AT THE SAME TIME I REALLY DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHAT EACH ONE GAVE BUT I KNOW THE PIPE CHANGE ITSELF WASNT WORTH THAT ITSELF JUST SOME PROVEN NEWS I THOUGHT I WOULD PASS ALONG.

Well how do you know the pipe isn't worth that much? It might be worth 22hp and the TBs killed some power. But you will never know now huh lol

bigbuk,
is this a race only Zx14?
how high are you revving it?
what CR?
In my experience, OS TB's seem to shine over 10K or so.
I'm not 100% positive, but i'm thinking Jim's race config Zx14 puts out the most peak hp of anyone's.

that muzzy was killing the power. it has small tubes. we changed from the 4-1 muzzy at the track to a vh and picked up 3 mph instantly.

We have done back to back testing on a 1570 with our cnc ported head and cam package and saw 12 hp.
A zx14 with a pipe and power commander will typically see 7 hp.
Basically the bigger and more built the motor is the more it will benefit from our throttle bodies.
The same goes for the busas and our bored busa throttle bodies. Actually we have seen more on busas. We saw 18 hp on a 1696cc busa last year. it went from 308 hp to 324 hp.
We are about to start testing on an all new busa 1696 head and cam package with even larger throttle bodies and were expecting 340 hp. Very soon after we will be testing yet another all new busa head and cam package on a 1784cc busa.
From what we have seen these big motors like big throttle bodies.

Was that on a stock motor bike?

no that was on a 2x4 with jims stage 3 head and cams. the muzzy doesnt have stepped primary tubes like the better pipes.
