Early Christmas for my 14R

We received a package from UPS yesterday, there is a reflashed ECU too but that went straight back on my bike.

This was half the consignment, the other was for my friend Mike. Thank you Brock for great service, I'm nearly 4,000 miles away and it arrived a day early.

Yes, it looks great. Should I put it in a glass case and hang it on the garage wall ? Just joking

I'm hoping that I won't need the noise plug, I bought it just in case. We have fairly stringent noise level tests at our meetings but I'm hoping the open pipe will be under the maximum permitted. Might use it for riding on the street between meetings. I've got a noise-level meter so I can measure it when it's installed.

I got the Brock dual system but didn't get the baffle (fingers crossed). At least, not yet anyway.

Good luck installing that monster. SHould sound and run like a beast.

Someone in another post said the stock exhaust system weighs in at 44lbs.
I just weighed the CT and the parts added up to 8lb 6oz. That's a massive saving in weight as well as a good power gain.

My scales said 41 lbs for the 2012 oem exhaust, U.S. model.

I'll put mine stock system on the scales when I fit the CT, won't be for another week though.
41 or 44, it's still a big weight reduction.

Update:

I weighed my stock system and it was just over 40lbs, the Brock CT Quietkore was 8lbs 6oz. Just wheeling it out of the garage is easier, 40+lbs of stainless steel is now in my basement store.

I bought the Dynojet O2 Optimizer (part 76125017).
Our European bikes have a lambda sensor in the exhaust and when it's removed you get a fault indication on the dash. I had the threaded bung in the Brock mid-pipe drilled and tapped to accept the stock sensor and put the O2 Optimizer in series with it. The warning light is now off and it runs properly.
I had to move the Lambda sensor socket in the bike's wiring loom to behind the engine block, just pulled it out of the clips and repositioned it to below the battery box. The Brock system's bung is much further back than on the stock exhaust and it wouldn't have reached. I might do a bit of tidying up on this later but I wanted to check it all worked first.

My friend who has been doing identical modifications to his bike (Brock's CT, PCV etc) did a dyno run this morning. 202bhp on the open pipe and 175 with the sound deadener in place. Good, healthy power near sea-level and with the air temp around 7 degrees centigrade.

The next job is to do some noise measurements out in the open, probably after Christmas.

Hopefuly you can pass the noise tests without the Quietkore but once fitted you should be way under any limit.
If, as you say you can do your own noise testing, you can start opening up the plug and get some of those HP back.
I don't know if it's worth doing but you can tidy up the lambda sensor wiring by swapping the oem sensor for one from a zx10 / zx6.
The sensor is the same but they have longer leads. (with the same plug). Because zx6 owners in particular often get race exhausts fitted from new,
these sensors turn up quite often on ebay for not much money.

Thanks I'll look into it, must be a sensor from an earlier model as sensor for the current ZX10 has the same part number. Maybe it's the 2010 model, which uses a pair of them.

I was thinking of extending the leads of the sensor to get the plug and socket back inside the fairing, I'm quite handy with wiring. I did look at buying another one to modify - and then found that part number 21176C was £160 so I think I'll be getting my soldering iron out.

My bad.
I completely forgot you're talking about the new bike!
I swapped the sensors on my 09. My sensor boss on my full system is much further back than the stock position too, and the zx6 sensor was a straight swap with plenty of cable to reach the standard plug position.
