then my linking has benefited this thread being brock only test his flash with his pipes ..http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/12zx142.htm
the link won't work from this site ..but its about dyno runs of other pipe with flash

Do I have to have a Brock's exhaust to get the optimum from this particular Flash?

Brock makes maps for his pipes. If you expect his map to work flawlessly with someones else exhaust then your not thinking straight.

Let me clarify what I'm trying to say or just ask.
I'm considering a akra, yosh or full system from Brock. Does the ECU flash have anything to do with fuel mapping? Is it best to have a mapped Brock system with a Brock flash? I understand that the his ECU is tuned with his product, so it would be relevant if the ECU involves fuel. I was curious if anyone here in the forum could answer this, without a call to Brock.
Brock's map was flawless in my full Tsukigi setup.

The Flash that Brock advertises does not have any fueling in the flash it is all done in the PCV. Ivan's Flash has some minor fueling adjustments in his flash thats really the only difference between them. You can use any exhaust you want with the flash. You would just need to get a custom tune to optimize the exhaust. The Flash really doesn't act as a tune. I spoke with Guhl on yesterday and without giving specific details on each flash he said they both are good flashes and are damn near the same on the dyno, the big difference would be the tune in the PCV. Hope this helps

Viper, are you sure??? Ivan clearly stated that his flash had zero fueling adjustments in it. That's why he also sells the PC V with his own program, just like Brock.
I personally got the flash straight from Guhl, and HE does offer some fueling adjustments on HIS flash, along with a bit of timing advance, along with everything that Brock has stated in his video.
I got my flash the week before Don went to Brock with all the "new" updates. I personally spoke to Don the day before he left for Brock's. He told me everything I would see Brock post is already in my flash. I do not need to send my ECU back in for an update now that Brock has a new update.
I researched and read ton's of flaming posts about Ivan vs Brock and who did what first, I don't care, all I KNOW is that Don and his people have mastered the re flash process.
Will there be more updates? We all can only hope so and am glad that Don Guhl offers free updates to anyone who has used him, weather it be through Ivan, Brock's or direct.
I'll agree with others that Don said that the flash Ivan offers, Guhl offers, and Brock offers, although all are slightly different, dyno damn close to the same. Slightly better off idle daily ride ability is offered by Ivan.
I had some fuel and timing added in my flash from Guhl and could feel it right away. I'm still stock otherwise and had my bike dynoed at 500 miles.
I was a bit disappointed that my bike only put down a max of 183 rwhp but I contribute that to my particular dyno, going back in for a re dyno soon and will post the results.
Yes, I understand that the absolute best thing to do is flash and PC V but I am still looking for the perfect exhaust for ME, not the loudest or the one that makes the most power, but quiet and deep. Something I can ride for 6 hours straight on and not have an ear ache for days afterward.

He wouldn't say 100% what Ivan had in his only slightly hinted on how it worked. I also dealt with Don directly too and find him to be very knowledgable. I run the streetmeg 2 on mine and I am very pleased with it. I can put the sound suppressor in it if I am going to be riding for hours but I've gotten use to it and have worn ear plugs from time to time too.

Yes, I had custom made ear plugs also.
I often ride with the woman on weekends and just don't need "loud" anymore.

Guys and Gals,
I address the issues and concerns of our customers, that’s why we updated our flash. Our online map support program has been the industry standard for 10 years. We have updated our Street Maps to enhance drivability and increase fuel mileage twice this year already (to our customers… we are on PCV maps 30+ here at Brock’s!), since I created the first maps in November of 2010 , before the bikes were available to the general public:
Brock Mapping the Roaring Toyz ZX-14R at Valdosta MFG Cup ~ November 2011
I choose our Brock’s Performance flash updates based upon my personal preference, customer requests and Don’s available options/suggestions, as this is a constantly evolving process. If you look at our ZX-14R flash in our store today – you will now notice ‘Street Flash’ and ‘Drag Flash’ drop-down options. The drag guys LOVE the ability to allow the bike to stay in the last traction control mode they selected (typically OFF), but our street bike guys enjoy the safety of the bike defaulting to Traction Control Mode 1. This will also allow some additional flexibility between the two that can affect perfect smoothness and driveability vs. all out speed. Of course, we are splitting hairs, as our Flash 1 and Flash 2 customers will tell you… but our 14R customers can be quite ‘selective’ and we have no problem with that at all.
I hope this helps clear up some things.

Brock, you were tuning on the first ZX-14r in the Country back in early November 2011, I'm sure you were working with Don Guhl on the flash before anyone else in the U.S. had a ZX-14r, kinda hard to do these things without a 14r if you know what I mean.
You also manufactured the first clutch mod for a ZX-14r to eliminate the slipper, you had me test that in January 2012, another first product out from Brocks Performance.
Revised mapping came as needed for production ZX-14r's.
Anything on what might be new from Brocks Performance in the future?
