I would have just left the car alone. The dude in the car was obviously an ass. Either slow to let him get his distance or leave him.

For real. I mean, as a smart biker; why would you keep putting yourself near a vehicle that obviously will win in a confrontation. Either drop back and get off the road he's on, or leave him and do the same. Yes, the bikers had just as much right to be on that road, but sometimes you have to have better judgement.
I can see maybe getting close enough from behind to get his plate on video, but after that bye bye. and no way in hell would I put myself anywhere near his blind spots or in front of him where I cant see him coming to swerve at me from behind or even directly next to me. Just not smart riding.
For that matter, I might have even looped around, went back to the cop on the shoulder and let him know about it. or at least stopped, called 911 and reported it immediately.

Why take those chances? Shawski:
The car driver's actions ARE road rage defined, BUT the motorcyclists on tape left themselves exposed to injury by continuing to ride near that vehicle. Any of the several "close" calls on that video could have been extreme injury events if those guys came off their bikes at those speeds with minimal protection apart from their helmets.
Personally I keep my distance from ALL cars and avoid any confrontations like that with cars/trucks because if the "driver" is motivated enough by his/her anger/rage and has one irrational enough "chance" to ram/collide with you then the motorcyclist is...dead. GLAD no one got hurt.

Just another Example of why I don't ride locally very much. Traffic around here (west palm beach, fl) isn't very kind to bikers either.

I agree with ur comments.. the dude in the car was crazy and after the first incident I would not have been anywhere close to that car.. the worst thing would have been if he had a gun and shoot the bikers.. u never know they are a lot of crazy people out there..

Exactly right. Too many unhinged people floating around to confront a total stranger who could easily emerge from his/her car shooting. Everyone who stopped their bike in that video and got off was a potential target. Then what?

Not condoning the car drivers action but unless this happen in California, these riders were breaking a lot of traffic laws! You can't share a lane with a car like that, cutting him off, speeding, lane changing violations, etc.... If you have a camera on your bike and you witnessed a accident, why take the law in your own hands? Furthermore the driver could take the position of a "gang of bikers harassment defense". Approaching a car with a group of guys could possibly give a person with a gun permitt to defend with deadly force.
I wouldn't play that game, there's a clear victor if you collide a car with a bike. I love my zx14 but love myself a bit more...

like others have said the car driver was an idiot but a few of the bike riders were even bigger idiots for trying to run along side a car that's obviously out to cause them harm, pretty damn stupid!!!!

Can't tell from the vid, but I bet the bikes were taking up all the lane's. Probably what pissed off the car. ALL were idiots!!!
