Haha. "old school"
Dan, the 14 wasn't around when you were in high school. It can't be old school yet

Wheelie, my moment came when I picked up my timeslip and saw where I had went faster than ever before and it was on my 57th birthday.

I'm getting older and have less time left so I gotta go faster! ;-)

What I want to know now...IS...does a radar ticket count for recording 200 or above? With the money I'd spend for getting to the mile...wherever....you think it'd be just plain cost effective to jus go out a nail her?

Radar doesn't count. The ability to keep your license and not end up in jail is a big plus, not to mention the lack of traffic and chances of wild animals.

That's what I've been counting on!!!!!At THAT speed...a deer would have to be pretty well timed in to nail yaLOL!!!!

Besides...Rich...radar's radar...yes?Valid?

How DO those guys end up crashing anyway?...with that surface like that and all.

1bad - There have been a few crashes lately. I can't argue with that. Even by experienced guys. I wasn't there. I don't know what exactly caused them. And I've seen some road racing crashes too.

blue07 - Not valid for anything Kawasaki or anyone I know is going to brag about. A ticket might bear witness that you went what ever speed, but I usually try NOT to get tickets.

I like the ability to go as fast as I can for a mile and not have to worry about traffic, or anything interfering with me, except me and my 14. I know at Maxton or Ohio now, I can let off the gas at 200 or so at the end of the mile and not even need brakes in shutdown. To me, $200 is great peace of mind.

I know....it's mainly just jestin with it....that's all.Personally...and this might seem strange...to me it wouldn't matter if anyone knew about it...as long as I knew I did it....I know....weird...but...that's how I feel about it for myself.Now...other guys...yeah...go for it....do it 'officially'...ya...I'm with ya.200 is 200....quite a record to have at least once in a guys life...on two wheels!

I have a spot here where I could I think hit 200...if I geared my baby right...my 14R...open and clear of traffic.I've been to 190 with my 07 here...on this one place. It's kind of a 'sponteneous' deal....I never set out to actually do a top end run...but sometimes...when everything feels good...I will go for it....once in a while.1Bad told me way back....that everytime I do that...I'm not helping my motor any.I trust him on that...so basically...I stopped doing it...and with my new bike and exhaust and all...I've only done I think two top outs...and she wasn't really all the way topped either...I did have to get off the gas...started my run 'too late' in the deal.....ran out of road...but not by much.LOL!!!Tell ya what...that exit curve...that bad boy was like...uh...okay...now remember, you want to LEAN!!!Keep pushing! She'll hold"LOL!!Yep...that was an exciting turn fer sure that day!

Shane is 110% correct.
LSR is w-a-y safer than roadracing for a buncha obvious reasons.

but 1bad has a point,

Even tho it is straight line & you are alone on the track, LSR accidents do happen.

If you wanna be a "top of the pyramid" competitor, speeds are very high even without a turbo.

It is an expensive & potentially dangerous sport.

Yesterday, i got the final bill for my March 24, 2012 heli-ambulance tour of S Texas: $24,663. YIKES!!!!

HUGE congrats to Dan Millholland and his sons Zack & Chad!!!

I am pretty sure they are the first "hat trick" in LSR history,

At the July 7-8, 2012 Wilmington, Ohio event, all 3 got ECTA caps for setting records over 200mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mom Lydia was beaming from ear to ear.

And then on the following weekend at Loring AFB in Limestone Maine, Dan set a record, upping his personal best to 208!
Doing it on his birthday is just too sweet to be true.

The Millhollands are a class act, role models for all of us, yup!
