Most I have seen at the track are more like 7s in the 1/8th in the hands of the average rider.

Lets see i run 5.42 @ 130 in the 1/8 mile and most Vmaxes run high 6s in the 1/8 mile @ 112 ... I think i could spot one 200 feet and win ..

better think again 200 ft is more than a 3 second head start .. what most 60ft's on a 6.90 bike is what a 1.60 at best .. so he's got another 140ft
OK big foot .. You on a Vmax and me on my zx14R , i'll spot you 200 feet .. Oh shit i'll give the to the 330 cone to make it fair ..

you the 1 in 2 deep.. you giving me 4 seconds or 1/2 track before you even move .. ..it doesn't matter if i run 10.0's on it ..you are not gonna catch me.. i taught you said you bracket race before .. you have a better chance at me being at a dead stop at 1/2 track .. but no track in the world is gonna let somebody launch from 1/2 track .. so you gonna have to do it off the tree.. and 4 seconds is 1/2 track on a 7 second bike .. you on a turbo zx14r with rockets running with a tail wind and down hill wouldn't catch a sandbag of 4 seconds .. in fact i don't even think spiderman could catch 4 seconds

Dragstrip supremacy aside, it has to be a rush riding a 9 second bike with such a upright seating position. I would think it would be literally ripping you off the handlebars!

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

i've race to many farm trucks that dailer 11.0's@ 65mph and spotted them 6 seconds and me dailed honest and only won or lost by inches.. and when they then bagged they broke out even hitting the brakes hard at the traps or vis-versa .. i remember 1 truck only trapped @ 5mph.. he was parked waiting on me to get there cause he bag so hard on that pass ...

You can't imagine. Think 1983 GS1100E, stock frame with 6" over Vance and Hines swingarm with a 1497cc match race motor putting out well over 200 horsepower from Byron Hines himself. Unheard of accelaration for the day. Wobbled like mad. Yeah, it's a rush alright riding such an upright bike with BIG power.

I would take that bet on the 14 at 200 ft,cause lengths don't work out the same as a headstart.your both starting from a dead stop and some one is not getting a moving headstart.I have done this with a bike that was about a second slower than me.I gave him a full telephone pole headstart, that's got to be close to 200ft.I was past him before he got to the third pole.

In my foolish street racing days.doesn't matter if its the street or strip 200ft is 200ft.my point is a mid 8sec8 14 will cover 1320 ft faster than a high 9sec vmax will cover 1120ft both from a dead stop.

awh 1320 is a 1/4 mile ..they are spotting 200ft and 330ft in 660ft the 1/8th mile... theres not a zx14 in the world thats gonna cover 660ft before a bike at mid track covers 330ft ..

i've got a run ticket right here of a slow ass zx12 with a 300lb fat guy doing 4.20 in the 3.30 .. you know of any zx14's that run 4.19 in the 1/8th

Good Luck, to whomever gives a v-max a 200ft or 330ft head start, because you are going to need it.
