less weight bike with almost same hp..and on top of that less weight rider ( not by few pounds either).. novice rider.. what did you expect the result to be??.. DUH.. the beemer ain't no joke folks..

Couldn' say it any better myself. if you even up the race throw a light weight rider with a more worked bike like myself it would have been a better race for sure.

Couldn' say it any better myself. if you even up the race throw a light weight rider with a more worked bike like myself it would have been a better race for sure.
the only difference is some people like him just do it for fun and they don't care who wins but some take it too serious and their feeling get hurt.. screw the ego shit and have some fun with ur bike/..

I'd take the BMW 9 times outta ten....but from a dig or terminal speeds I'm going with the 14. I seriously doubt I would have clocked a 195 mph pass with a stiff headwind on a stock ride height pump gas S1000rr with a full system. Just wouldn't have happened. The 14 is strong. These types of races have already been hashed out. In the roll-ons usually the BMW will jump out due to the superior power to weight ratio....from a dig the wheelbase and torque of the 14 make it walk away....and on top speed the 14 gets the nod.

I have to say I've watched several vids of the 14R racing 1000's and haven' t seen it win a roll on race yet. I guess its destiny is to lose roll ons to 1000's no matter how big they make the engine.
And I don't remember seeing the original busa losing roll ons to anything in its day. So maybe the 14R isn't making an original busa style impact after all?

Are u kidden me??? The 14r KILLs every 1000 i have raced. Now i haven't raced the bmw,but the regular jap 1000 are slow as hell now. I raced by buddies 2011 gsxr1000,and his friend on a 2010 cbr1000,both had exhaust,and the new 14 destroyed them by quite a bit. Granted they only pulled in the mid 160hp,on the dyno where i pulled over 200hp. But the bmw is a whole other beast. I would love to race one with my set up and my light weight. If the beemer can pull on my 14r with the work i have done and my lil ass they have earned it.

I don't see that happening. Everytime at the back half of the track, most 1000's pull on me, and they all have "stock motors"

Well first off you have the older 14...enough said there is no pulling on the new 14 up top its a killer. Second i guess the street is different because even my 09 14 brocked out was a killer back then with the jap 1000's. Don't know what to tell you. I never lost a street race on either of my 14's,but granted i'm lighter than most guys here also. Even smokin has said in the past playing around on the street he has walked right around 1000's also. Hell whats so hard to get my friend with a piped 1000 pulled 166hp and 81tq on the dyno a few days after i pulled 201hp and 117 tq. You are not making up 35hp and 36tq with a 100lbs or so lighter bike i'm sorry not even close. Hell the torque alone down low puts me out pretty quick on them,and up top....forget it this new 14r pulls for days.

 Whats that old saying?.........if I saw it on the internet it must be true? All I know is I got to ride a stock 14R and that sumbitch was freaky fast for a stock bike......by far the fastest stock bike I've ever ridden. I guess I need to ride a beemer 1000 and see what its all about. How the hell is that little bavarian bastard still beating everything on the street?

It's not. BMW rider is beating a zx14r heavy rider mostly. I remeberer years ago my good friend had an 05zx10r. That thing was friggin crazy,he had it worked a lil,but couldn't beat many people at all. Well finally he let me ride it for a few hours on one of are local runs and he drove my gixxer 1000,well 3 of the guys that used to beat him well i raced them. One of the races the road was wide enough for a 3-way race. The one guy had an r1,and the other guy had an 07 busa,well we hit in a 2nd gear roll and we went probaly to the top of 5th[i remeber the road and it was a long straight road on the way to the shore],anyway we raced twice because they couldn't belive i could beat them by 4-5 bikes with my buddies same bike they always beat on. Now he was a good rider and all but you never no how good a rider really is in racing,it turned out this guy always got a lil scared and held back a lil. And he was 210-215lb guy and i was only around 165-170 back then. Moral of the story riders beat riders more than bikes beat bikes.......EVEN IN ROLL ONS it seems.

Hey fellow 14R owner, please don't do anymore roll ons, until you learn how to ride your bike. That was very upsetting to me... you boy, kilt you... he was ahead of you and punched first, and totally walked away from you.... His bike has a stock exhaust and yours have a AH2. Either his bike is extremely fast your there is something wrong with yours...
Regardless of the 50lbs you are giving away he shouldn't have left you like that..... I would have never posted this video..... Please find a person that knows how to ride and weigh what you way... let them ride your bike....
FYI, your friend bike is geared.....

I know one thing- this guy was WOT on a stock wheelbase 14R and it didn't go for the moon in any of the 1st two gears, he had the power control mode on. In both 1st gear roll ons in the vid featured in this thread there wasn't a hint of a wheelie.
A. asshole was pucker'd up and didn't twist it thru the revs
or
B. He had it in "bitch mode"

I agree.....I have a buddy who's about 45lbs lighter than me, I run about 200, he's about 155, and our races end up the same whether we switch bikes or not. That 50lb weight diff doesn't explain the way that beemer 1000 walked away from the 14R at all speeds, in all gears. He must have had the traction control on high thinking it would help him out somehow.

My traction control was of & bmw was not geared just have a bigger tire size. And i see too many people that i can't race but i don't see any vids of them passing a bmw
