Who has one and what do you think of it? Are you using pump gas?

I can only add that the 09 14 we have I believed to be the greatest bike ever produced until the turbo 14 arrived. A turbo 14 is just in a league by itself. IMO of course. You will not be sorry for purchasing turbo 14. I think we're going to end up somewhere around 350 horsepower to the tire on a stock motor.

My little brother has the stage 1+ boost set at 7psi 91 pump gas with 104 black octain booster and fried a piston so bad he needs a new motor. he had a auto tune on it with the AF set at 11.8 but he (Never had it tuned) on a Dyno so if you get a turbo have it tuned ASAP by someone who knows what they're doing.

.. being fuel rich don't mean detonation won't happen and running low grade fuel with an additive is just asking for it ..

From everything I've read and heard, e85 is the way to go if you have this fuel available. Use it if you can. We're going to switch the other turbo bike over to it as soon as possible. The turbo 14 is already running it and I can assure you the previous owner knew what he was doing and settled on this fuel. Right, sir????

We can only get 91 pump gas around here no e85 or we would use it I use C14 when I run on spray even on a small 30 shot so I guess he had it coming sooner or later.
We have to drive 45 miles just to get the race gas we use at the track my brother was racing a 2012 zx14r on the street and stayed in it to long without any race gas but he won lol
Anyway turbos are fun if you use good gas and have them tuned before you go out and hammer the crap out of them.

Not just the tune or gas, some kits boost creep so up in the top end of the range your getting maybe 8 or 10 psi instead of the 6 you thought you had
a check valve in the boost gauge line or logging finds it quickly but difficult to see yourself as your usually hanging on tight and looking where your going at that point
anything with an internal wastegate neds checking and some with external

Done about 15 kits before on various bikes so i'm not inexperianced and the current 14 i built has 2 psi creep , and i took the usual precautions , big hole to the wastegate, nice entry angle and ported the housing to promote flow , 2 psi is no big deal if your aware of it and know its not going to be a problem, but if you had a street bike with std compression it can be the difference between a long enjoyable turbo experiance and a short & sour one

i us to have to drive 75 miles 1 way to get E85 .. @2.50 a gal. i'd buy 30 gallons and it would keep for the 3 months that i took to use it up .. also it was always tested for grade and same grade was used for 6 months ..most time E85 around here is a E90 to 95 but in the winter time i've seen it drop to E75 . so if you ran to a dyno without testing the grade and had the winter mix .. summer time you would be running lean..

Dave the triumph guy on here has a Muzzy stage 1 on his stock 14 with almost 40,000 trouble free touring miles on it. He just bought a 14R but is still keeping his boosted 14 because he likes it that much. Sounds to me like the muzzy kit would be a good choice for a long life turbo 14. I'm also running a boosted 14, I have the same kit as Romans........I won't mention the name because the kit maker has turned out to be less than honest anymore, plus I think the Muzzy kit is a better kit anyway from what I've heard.

I've ran my boosted 14 for 2+ seasons now on VP Street Blaze 100 octane street fuel with no issues. I never race it tho, just street riding. There's nothing like a turbo 14.....and if you don't get boost greedy, and set up the kit properly, they can last a very long time. Lots of very experienced turbo guys here for advice whenever you need it. Romans has a ton of experience with a turbo and the DJ auto-tune system if you go that route
So as Nike would say "Just do it!!"

I don't have a pony in this race, but I would call Chris Jones for a street kit before I would give a dime to Muzzy.

But if you are smart about a turbo kit and piece one together you can save a ton of money. Like thousands!!
