12R is a sweet bike,but I have not seen the swap done right, yet. 14/14R are sport touring oriented from the factory...12R was designed to be a killer..

IMHO a Gen 1 14 didn't pull any harder, especially on top, as a 12R.

I've never got to ride a 12R (almost bought one tho lol) but I did notice my 06 14 with just slips/pc/filter and flies out pulled incredibly hard at lower rpm's up to 9500 or so, then seemed to fall off. I think my gen1 busa with slips/pc/filter pulled just as hard up top, but the 14 absolutely CRUSHED it everywhere else. I read that kawi went for more low end and midrange on the 14 instead of being peaky like I've read the 12R was. With boost its all irrelevant now tho
