RIP, sad day for motorsports for sure.
I saw an interview with him a few years back and he said that even at 80+ years old he would sleep with a pen and pad next to his bed because he often woke up with ideas and have to jot them down.

What a man, born with a bad heart, and struggled with ill health throughout his life, and still lived to the grand age of 89 while achieving so much !
He designed some of the most beautiful cars ever.
He won't be remembered for putting fuel economy as a priority.
Carroll was an inspiration to teach us to appreciate the life God has given us, regardless of tough times.
