dyno outcome on stock zx14r

well i took the blue beast up to the shop today and had her put on the dyno, the bike has 370 miles on it and still has the factory break-in oil in it. the bike is bone stock.put it on dyno results181 hp and 108 ft lbs of torque this is over here in eastern wa,state about 250 miles east of Seattle around 900ft elevation . right now they are putting the muzzy stainless single exhaust system on the bike and also a power commander v5, with which they are going to make a custom map for it, there hoping to get around 200 to the rear wheel, i will post the results later on this afternoon when i bring her home, i am really excited so far with the results, because this dyno has a reputation for being stingy. will try to post results this evening after i pick her up.

I also put my 2012 SE on the dyno on April 16th. Weather was kinda crappy, humid rainy and warm so i wasn't expecting great numbers. I was sitting at 400 miles and Mine pulled 183.18hp and 110.24tq.

I am also getting one of the new Muzzy full systems installed next week when it arrives, along with the PCV that I currently have.
I'll let you know what I'm looking at so we can compare numbers.

Bike will get stronger as u put more miles on it. Mine dynoed 185hp 111tq stock with 600 miles. Went with brocks exhaust and pc,and dynoed 197.8hp 116tq. Then last friday dynoed again at 1000 miles and pulled 201hp and same 116 tq.

I hope you know you will not get an "exact" reading on a dyno different days even if you didn't put any miles on your bike.

My bike also made 181 on the stock oil, with less than 100 miles...

I found my dyno to read within 1-3 hp, even with varying outside conditions (and it's an outdoor dyno). The correction factor handles such changes fairly well....at least when dealing with changes of 15 degrees or so.

Mine made 197.8 with brocks pipe and no PC with 75 miles and stock oil .. Now i have 300 miles on the bike and two oil changes plus added Brock PC and map ... My guess is 210 HP ... Horsepower Calculator from my MPH and weight said 218 HP... HP from my ET and Weight 212 ... So i'm guessing it's somewhere in the middle of the two numbers , so maybe 215 SAE ... Brock got 227 STD with MR12 , so maybe 218 to 220 SAE .. If MR12 adds 7 HP that puts me pretty close to 210 SAE... No bad for a pump gas street bike ..

dyno results from pcv and muzzy exhaust

well guys here are the final numbers i just got off the phone with the shop and he gave me the numbers will pick the bike up tomorrow along with the dyno sheets and printouts of them. hp 191,torque 112 ft lbs i am very happy with these number thet were gotten with the muzzy exhaust and a pcv5 with a map that muzzy sent me for this exhaust since the power commander only had a map in it for a stock bike. when i talked to dave at muzzys over the phone he was very nice and sent me the map for the exhaust right away, very nice since i did not buy the pipe or p/c from them.these before and after number were all done on shell 91 octane pump gas., will try to post dyno sheets tomorrow and some pictures if i can get the wife to do it for me. all in all very happy with the results. like i said before this is a very stingy dyno for up in this part of the country. Always used 92 octane on all 3 pulls badzx12. And like always wheelie is correct, you will NEVER get the same dyno pull on dfferent days or even diifferent back to back pulls. But he has no miles on his bike, when he gets to let's say 2000 or so if he goes back to the dyno he'll def. will be higher than 191 on that dyno. And his dyno doesn't seem that low of a reading really. He has really no miles and stock oil 181hp isn't that bad compared to what iv'e seen from other people here. Good luck burton with your new bike, and be safe!!!!!

Looks Good!
Just out of curiosity how much space is between the right foot peg and the mid pipe?
I'm looking to add some relocation brackets when i get mine installed but was unsure of the available space with the Muzzy pipes.

Wait till you get at least 2100 miles on the ODO. The fuel milage jumps from 36 city to 43 and highway to 50+. Incredable machine and just gets better. Haven't been on the dyno yet maybe it is summer fuel. It just feels faster and better every 100 miles. My 47th motorcycle is the coolest and best ever. Cept maybe for my 1913 Indian 1000cc V-Twin. During that period of time is was a total monster.
