If you haven't had your bike a mile up in elevation get ready for a shock, its going to feel dog slow if you're coming from anywhere close to sea level. Beautiful riding up there, but its a REAL funsucker if you enjoy your power. I'm at 5000ft myself, and besides my turbo 14 my other bikes are actually a little boring to ride. That includes my well modded 04 busa lol.
But I bought my busa up here brand new, so I didn't know what I was missing, I just thought busa's were HIGHLY overrated or mine was a complete dog. Once I took it down to sea level I realized it was just my ridiculous elevation robbing it of a barn load of power. You lose about 3% of your hp for every 1000ft you go up, so if my busa was putting out 160rwhp I was losing 24rwhp.......and believe me it felt like it and then some
136rw ponies is about what the modded ZX11 I was riding near sea level put out just before I moved up here and got the busa , plus the busa had much higher gearing. So when the busa felt slower than the 11 I was pretty pissed off at my purchase to say the least
And when I went down in elevation close to sea level to pick up my 06 14, I felt like I was riding the hand of god when I twisted the throttle......it was awesome!!! My lord did that thing feel fast And thanks to the turbo at almost a mile up it still does
