Those look like average 2006-2011 ZX14 numbers to me. What's your bike run at the track. I think that might be a better number to look at because your dyno numbers are off by about 25 if one can believe all the other dyno numbers that have been posted. If those numbers are legit you really don't want to see the dyno sheet I got on my 2009 14.

If an 07 busa did 147, sounds bout right. As son as I get my PCV and tune, ill dyno mine in brisbane and let you know. First with zero map, then after custom tune. Got 5500km on mine, so should be a be interesting. The guy tuning it runs his own dragbike and was technical manager for dynojet in oz. he should know what he is doing.

That, and the false notion that the outside air conditions have made a huge difference. That is why dyno's have correction factors. I like to help people, but sometimes I just have to shake my head and admit defeat, lol.

BMW really did do an original busa number on the competition.

lol, yep... they hyped the shit out of it and it doesn't perform as advertised.
You have a point there . The beemer sure seems to perform on a dyno though

During a recent test by Motorrad magazine they found that a standard ZZR 1400 beats the BMW 1000 in horsepower (206 hp vs 197hp at the crank) and has a slight advantage in acceleration (0 - 125 mph). This was tested and written by a (renown) German magazine which has shown a bias towards BMW for several years...........

I would have agree on the TC being the problem cause Your numbers are way off of everybody else.its not just one or two getting the over 190 figure but everybody is.so either yours is a dud or the TC really makes a difference

The 2011 ZX-10R also had his TC still switched on as well - he's a mate of mine and we both 'forgot' to turn TC off amongst the 'excitement'. His HP numbers would be likely increased as well, but wouldn't that be to a point above what a 10R can really produce on a dyno?

Oh well I'll have to go and get another dyno run done soon with TC off and get back to you all. If the numbers are still crap maybe I'll sell my (lemon) 14R and get another one

Greggy your dyno post has gone viral. I've seen it on all kinds of other forums, including the BMW S1000R forum. Everybody thinks the new 14R is weak compared to the beemer and ZX10. Get another chart up pronto with that tc off man! lol

Hahaha - you gotta love the Internet

Well if the BMW guys are saying the ZX-14R is "weak", with a BMW S1000RR with a PCV and Akrapovic system making only 2 HP more than an (almost stock) ZX-14R then I don't know why they would be happy about that. Not unless a tuned BMW S1000RR with an Akrapovic pipe actually makes less HP than a stock S1000RR which I would find VERY hard to believe,

Tranction Control (mode 1) was definitely left on for my bike's dyno runs (I rang the dyno operator to confirm this) so if you guys are sure the TC system has culled some HP then theres really nothing for anyone to worry about, and a re-run with TC off should provide a more accurate figure.

Also, if I was a Busa owner I wouldn't be quoting this forum post... as a Gen 2 Busa only made 147HP on the same day.

Here's the BMW thread if anyone wants to read it http://www.s1000rrforum.com/forum/bmw-s1000rr-general-discussion/11923-pretty-much-norm-2012-s1kr-puts-down-more-rwhp-than-zx10-14r.html its not a complete 14 bash, a couple of the guys actually don't believe the dyno runs for the 14 were accurate either
Most folks seem to understand deep down that this time kawi finally grew a set and did make another legend, in a long line of legend makers
Thanks kawi for stepping up and doing what I thought you'd never do again
