ZZR1400 2012 received

So my new babe was today ready for delivery.
The first long waiting period is now back but the second one is still a head.
Currently a lot of snow and -20 degrees so riding season is not yet on the door.
But it will come - sooner or later.

Now have a good time to find some accessories (pipes, power commander, back seat cover etc.)

Serial number is 2458 but the first one here in Finland

Congrats!!!

Vmatti:

Beautiful bike and that snow in Finland will melt eventually. In the meantime, enjoy getting it set up like you want it.

Is that green minus the flame decals? It looks cool!

I don't think Europe gets the flame decals on the green bike, like we never got the Gen1 SE models either, just plain blue, black or green. The pillion seat cover in Golden Blazed Green is Part Number 99994034240R, around £205.95 here in the UK, (perhaps 250 Euros in Finland?)

Enjoy the bike, we get ours at the beginning of March. Currently around freezing point here today but no snow in the South West. Hopefully Spring will be here in a few weeks time.

Thanks guys - for sure I'm gonna enjoy the bike.

Pillion seat cover found and ordered, price 288eur (=GBP240/ USD382). Is it really just Golden Blazed or pure Gold

I'm happy to take any hints for Power Commander from where/when to get it. Even not sure do I need it necessarily if just change slip-ons, most probably not. Any thoughts?
But just in case.

Couple of more nice pics from Motorcycle Exhibition last weekend:

I can't believe the money they charge for a new zx and it doesn't include a seat cover! Pro ally cost Kawi. 10 bucks to make if that

My dealer just told me that all greens have gone and importer cannot promise 100% surely anymore for this season here in Finland.
Don't know what was quota exactly but seems that green is quite popular.
Black ones are still available...

So it's good to be fast already in order phase

Wow, green without flames looks good. Have to agree with the comment on the Akra's - pretty ugly. Strange since usually anything they make is a great product. I loved the ones I had on the R1 but won't be adding those to the ZX.

I do agree that these akras are a bit different than earlier ones and the reason is most likely tight EU regulations.
The pipes are EC type approved and emissions/sounds level have been taken into account when planned.
Noise killers are still removable, that is always good.

And actually they are not so ugly in live as in the photos above.

But let see what other slip-ons are coming from other manufacturers. Hopefully a bit cheaper as well

The green SE is sold out in the US. I like the flames on mine, not too loud just right. Get compliments everyday and I hate flames. This is not the old 14, the only thing in common are the looks and model name. I have almost 600 miles now and the temps haven't been above 50 degrees. Fuel mileage is up to 47 mpg at legal speeds on the freeway. The power is beyond expectations. The old 14, with flies in, was whimpy until 6k rpms, not this one. 10 more cc and it would be a ZX15. Feels like a 16.

So the first 80km behind with new ZZR and the feelings are really high.
The bike seems to be awesome, especially the torque point of view - me like.
The weather wasn't perfect yet, +4C degrees, and the roads were still really dusty after snow.
So it was quite difficult to find proper grip with new tires but traction control was useful in this case.

Looking forward to get more miles on it - and soon

Beautiful - both the U.S. and over the pond versions of the green. Black fins, black wheels, and no flames adds a different look, for sure. I like 'em both! Congrats, man.
