Big guys will need more than the stock clutch for drag racing at length, the clutch gives a little, clutch mod makes every gear bite.

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

5.60 for wee and dad went 5.74@126 having problems. Looks like it is time for him to get a swing arm and a shock.

Nice Wee !! I felt strongly you were driving though the clutch .. That 5.60 @ 125 would have been a easy 8.70 @ 155 ...And with a 210+ pound rider !!!!
After taking to Brock about this very thing i knew the heavy Guys were going to need this clutch mod .. It may not be a problem for light weight guys like me , but then again i might go faster with the clutch mod also .. I felt from day one that the ZX14R clutch felt mushy and weak ... Wee and I both had problems getting the clutch out fast , Wees extra weight made it even worse .. Drag racers light and heavy should be thinking about this as an most do .. The mod removes the slipper and gives you a spring and shim setup to dail in for your weight and style of riding ..
Here is the clutch mod being installed on a 2011 ZX10 .. The Zx14R is very much the same set up ..

Dad doesn't weigh 210 lbs

I should add since i added wheel base to my bike air shifting into second gear it never wheelys after the shift ... My 06 and 09 both would pop the wheel up on the 1 to 2 shift .. That had me thinking something was wrong with my new bike .. Hell it has more power and the same gearing as my old bike and it doesn't pull the wheel up like the old bike ? My money is on the fact the slipper clutch is what is causing to shift to soft .. Soft shift is a ET and MPH killer ..That slipper clutch has to be soaking up some HP as Wees bike has shown ..

that post is right on, now 2nd gear floats, and when the track is sticky it pops up 3rd just slightly, track today went away pretty quick with the lanes full of street cars hot lapping.
The last few weeks my mph was 122-123, today 124-125, 5.60 was the best pass, lots of 5.63's then the track went, this bike will run 5.50's with me on it when the tracks go back to prepping for race cars, I can tell they are mixing allot of methanol with the vht, more than the usually do, can't really blame them when the lanes are full of street tire.
I.m not trying to sell Brocks clutch mod, just posting it helped me, Smokin being a light weight isn't going to have the same effect as me being 210 pounds, but if he isn't getting that 2nd gear pop wheelie then he will go faster than he is now.
Getting to the track early is the key now in the winter months to get the best traction, will get that 5.50 something real soon if we keep having a mild winter lol. Thumbs up to Brock for doing what he is doing for us with a new ZX-14r, I'm curious what else he can find to give us better times at the drag strip.

Let me add, if you are a street rider on the ZX-14r your clutch will do just fine, drag strip it will work fine as well, but you can lower et and gain mph with the clutch mod when you start riding it really hard when launching and air shifting

Wee, is the mod just like the zx-10??? does the mod come with different springs or spacers for stock springs???

Brock will have to answer what it actually comes with, he's probably ready to sell them now since we can see it does work for drag racing, remember I went 5.74 stock clutch and I was riding it hard as I could, 5.60 with the mod,

I go into an in depth discussion as to why this statement isn't exactly the case if you race at all and care about maximum performance, reaction time, clutch life etc., but let my staff finish a video we are working on first.
Glad you liked the kit Wheelie!
Remember guys, drag racing is a sport where every detail counts. I'm up here in Ohio making educated estimates about Wheelies needs from watching YouTube video's on one small aspect of his clutch set-up vs. weight and rider style for tracks I’ve never visited…
Imagine if what happens when all of the details are tuned at once (clutch, chassis, mapping etc.) after the bike is tuned 100% on my dyno. We then optimize the configuration to match the bike to a perfectly prepared surface (Such as MIROCK or AMA Dragbike full length glue job where people commonly leave their boot heals on the line when they launch- no shit!) at Sea Level or close to it, like MIR or Gainesville/Valdosta - in perfect weather conditions with a 125-150lb. Jockey aboard…
POOF--- the making of a ‘ringer’...
FYI: Our SuperSport bikes used to get a tenth to twelve hundredths quicker in the trailer, ON THE TRIP to the Atco, NJ race every year!
