new otd. pricing?

Looking to trade my 08 in on the 2012 zx14r. So are they giving any discounts? I never pay anything close to sticker price. I know its early and they just started coming out . So what kind of deal did you get out the door?

I'm the same way. I got screwed over big time when I was younger on my first two cars. Ever since then I've made it my mission to never pay MSRP. Here in the North, it's winter time so even though the bike is a newly released generation model, you can still get a pretty slick deal on it.

I went to 3 different dealerships and the best I got was $13979. That's a true OTD with tax, title, registration, prep, and freight all already included. I was pretty much told by the other dealerships that that price is very aggressive and is practically at cost so no one would touch it. The lowest I bargained one dealership to was $14,859 for comparison. The third dealership weren't getting any until January so I didn't want to waste their time and my time.

I absolutely detest dealerships, but the dealership I ended up going with is only owned by one guy and the finance person is his wife I think. Sort of regret that I didn't find out about them earlier or otherwise I would've bought my other bikes from them. I'd rather buy from a small Mom and Pop dealership than the big huge dealerships that won't budge on the price for like 8 hours.

Their advertised price of the bike was ridiculously low. I think they just did it to get traffic to their dealership. I'm supposed to be getting their next shipment (hopefully next week). I think they got more advertising than they wanted and realized they could make a larger profit given what the other dealerships are letting the ZX-14R go for. I went there and put a down payment on a Saturday. Monday they jacked up their advertised price by $700.

Hope that helps.

I paid $14,888 OTD for my Green 14R SE from AL. But I live in Florida, so I had to pay another $610.00 in taxes here. So I ended up paying $15,498. I'm sure I could have got one cheaper but that was the only green one I could find at the time.
