What brake fluid?

Just curious what u guys are using.. Mine appears to have become fairly tanned and it's the first time I'll be doing this so I thought I ask if there is a preferred brand etc.

Wallmart has prestone dot 4. 2.00 and change. 510 degrees dry 311 wet boiling points are as good as or better than the rip off high dollar stuff. Oh and it's synthetic. I have put this stuff to the test with doubled up high speed stops down hill at 5000 ft, no boiling works great.

Motul is the top of the line as far as brake fluid goes. While your at it, get 4 speed bleeders. Makes life very easy & now its a 15 minute job changing Front, rear & clutch fluid. I do mine every other year.

Yup got the speedbleeders and they are definitely going on there. I was thinking about the Motul 660 initially but I saw somewhere that it works great but for a short period of time.. not sure if it is true but they mentioned they use it on race cars and they flush it after each race .. In any case I don't exactly race with the dang thing but it would be nice to get some quality stuff just to know it's gonna be good for a while..

Atl, I'm sure motul's products are great quality. Depending on the application (and how smart the guy is doing it) if he was using it on a round track car, or a car that uses the brakes a LOT he might be getting the fluid too hot.

I don't see how anybody in the real world could get there brakes and then fluid up to 500+ temps on the 14 to take advantage of slightly higher boiling point, other than road course racing with a track bike. Oh no! I made this into another oil thread! Lol
