Thinking about selling the 14, whats it worth realistically?

Well I am thinking about selling my beloved ZX-14. I have about 11k on it and its 2007 Special Edition Pearl White. I have all the stock parts plus I have done the following to the bike in aftermarket parts. I am trying to figure out if it would be more cost effective to part out the aftermarket parts or sell it whole.

Black Carrozzeria Wheels
CTS Moto Front rotors
Galpher Stealth Rear Rotor
Spiegler braided steel Brake/clutch lines
Yosh TRC 4 into 1 with Titanium Can
PC III with custom Map
Muzzy fender eliminator
Sato rearsets
Sato Oil Fill Cap
GPR V4 Steering stabilizer
Carbon Fiber ZX-10 front Fender, Grills and hugger
Heli Risers
Pazzo Levers
Sargent Seat and Concours 14 seat
40 and 41 tooth rear sprockets
Recent Brake Pads front/rear
Flys out
Im sure I forgot something

Have ALL the stock stuff also. what do yout think its worth

Sadly, it is probably going to be better for you to put it back to stock and sell it that way. Then, sell all of the aftermarket parts piece by piece. Unless you can find just the right buyer that appreciates all the great mods you have done, you probably won't get close to the money you have in it.

I was hoping to get 10K with all the aftermarket add ons and I would included all the orginal parts in that deal, I have original red rims/tires with good tread left. I have all the original rotors for all the wheels, have the original seat, and connie 14 seat, full original exhaust system. I have the original red grills, orig levers, original oil filler cap, two sets or original pegs, original white zx14 front fender, all original rubber brake and clutch lines, factory center stand. and still under warranty till may 2012(kawi's goodtime portection plan), Heres a pic or two

you'll do good to get 6k with all of the add ons. put it back stock, sell it for 5k, then sell all of your aftermarket pars for a couple of grand.

I have an 06 with similar mods and I've thought about selling it at times, but I agree with the others that I'd put it back to stock and sell the extras separately. I would almost guarantee you can sell all that stuff at a fair price on this site in a matter of a few weeks on this site alone.

The new bikes cost so much more now because of the exchange rates and some of the added technology features. Unless you're switching to sport-touring, a cruiser, or a full-dresser it's worth keeping it. If you're bored with it, spend some money on a face lift and give it a new paint job.

Keep it cause you'll never get 10k. It's hard to find a better bike(IMHO) but if you are set on selling it then put it back stock, sell the aftermarket parts, and try not to sob when you review the money lost

Well, I want those Sato rear sets if you decide to part out.
I'm sure that the rest of the aftermarket stuff will go quick,
none of it is eBay crap IMHO.

You better start taking those goodies off.... These guys are not lying.... You will be offended from the offers that will be thrown your way..... Mine wasn't an 07 or anything special..... But without the goodies it sold for $5300 (non-bikeland member).... Goodies made up more than the amount I wanted total at first for everything.... Good Luck

Beautfiful bike...

Remove the rims and tires...sell them.

Remove the rotors...sell them.

Remove the exhaust...sell it.

Remove the centerstand...sell it.

Remove the seat...sell it.

Sell the grills.

Sell the fender set-up.

These items should net about $2300.

Then you sell the bike.

Shane

$7k MAY be achieved if you can find a guy that is 14 hungry and cares what you've
built and how well cared for it is, but may take awhile to find "that" guy - solid ride man,
lots of nice, complimentary additions

These replies are wise. Your bike is merely a commodity once it's up for sale. Shane has the right idea. You give away mods if they're offered with the bike. Sell them on the side here.

IF you decide to sell the individual parts I'd be interested in:

Sargent seat

Carbon fiber fender set up and gills

Send a note to me at ricardosawyer@excite.com

I am willing to bet your bike is worth more than you realize. A '06 is worth around 7300.00 in stock trim (bank will finance that amount)

So, add 400.00 more dollars to that total and you get the retail price for your bike.
Add the rims and add another 1200 to 1500 hundred... Your bike is worth ...

Now, can you find someone willing to pay that much in this economy?

Something is only worth what someone will pay.
Have you seen what used 14's sell for? It's bad, because I have a 08 I'd love to sell and get a 2012, the market sucks right now.
