resistor question

ok got rid of the in tank fuel pump .. now i need to get rid of the flashing gauge .http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=27&TID=47458&set_time=1243642952


this was never answered on what size resistor ..

Just ground it i guess works.

nope that blows the fuse to the ECU ..


what happen was i grounded the wire ... the fuse busted to ECU i installed new fuse ..the gauge stop flashing ...but the fuel gauge is flashing .. and just the fuel gauge only ..

oh, i put up pictures of the OHM readings before on this site. if that helps, i dunno. i

THANKS .. But 1 thing i is not is an electrician . somebody gonna have to tell me what resistor to use ,,

what i found by more try and error is that with the low fuel sensor attached and grounded to the frame... it works for 2 minutes then goes to flash mode ..

1.3k ohms, should be able to go to a radio shack, or just pick one up online.

thanks ..thats kinda what i taught i needed .. i'll get a few tomorrow from radio shack ..

Just make sure you get one with a high enough wattage rating that it doesn't burn up.

could try a pot. works the same as a resistor, but it is adjustable

ok best i could find was a 1 watt .1.3 k ohms .. installed it inline and works perfect .. ps ...my new external fuel pump puts out so much fuel i may just have to go negative in the 100% throttle on full boost
