ZX10 wheel conversion for the ZX14 is finished
OK we got them finished ---
I am selling a kit to put the 06-07 ZX10 Wheels on a ZX14
Weight Savings :
Front wheel with one rotor
ZX14 14.8 lbs
ZX10 12.8 lbs
Rear wheel with rotor and sprocket carrier
ZX14 22.0 lbs
ZX10 17.0 lbs
Thats a savings of 7 lbs -- on the wheels alone!!!!
To do this kit you will need a few parts to add to our kit:
What YOU NEED: --
1. 06-07 ZX10 Front Wheel (this kit uses the stock zx14 front rotor/rotors.
2. 06-07 ZX10 Rear wheel -- complete with sprocket carrier and brake rotor.
3. 06-07 ZX10 Rear Brake Hanger
4 06-08 ZX10 or 07-08 ZX6r Rear Caliper
We will be selling to kits -- both are designed off a stock swingarm or extensions that utillized a stock zx14 brake hanger. If you have a different arm or hanger I am not 100% sure if it will work.
Our kit comes with the following:
All bearings, spacers and bolts to adapt both front and rear wheels to the zx14.
Street Kit:
$125 includes : All Bearings and spacers -- Exchange on modified ZX10 Rear Hanger
Grudge Kit :
$110 includes: All bearings and spacers -- no brake hanger needed we just make a bigger spacer.

No problem guys -- it seemed like there was a lot of interest in this conversion and no one really getting a kit together so here it is --

I'm a noob but I could definitely get stuff I needed and take it to a reputable shop. I'm a street rider so I don't want to chance the front rim. Would that savings on the rear wheel help get the bike wound up quicker?

If you do the rear you need the complete wheel with sprocket carrier and and brake rotor -- plus the rear brake hanger and caliper.
Sprockets are available for ZX10 in a 530 conversion or ZX12 sprockets will work.
The front wheel is pretty much a direct bolt on.
You are loosing 5lbs off the rear

There's a 5mm difference in the triple trees between a 10R and 14.. You'll actually need to space the 10 rotors .100 a side for them to be a direct swap...... Just measured both front ends today.. As I've recently purchased both

Rock, isn't that why you use the zx14 brakes on the zx10 wheel in the front?

Does anybody know if there are differences between the 04-10 zx10 wheels? Why does Osr say they will only work for the 06-07?

I bought a set of '09 ZX10R wheels from a buddy and another friend wanted them for his '06 ZX10 (since they were black instead of bronze) and I swapped him and they bolted right up to his '06.
I bought an OSR kit and put on the '06 wheels on my 14.
I don't know about the '04 & '05 but I'm guessing they'll work......I dunno.

'04-'05 10r front wheels have a different (smaller, I think) diameter axle. Rear 10r wheels are the same '04-'10.

I dunno. To my knowledge front and rear 10r wheels are the same '06-'10.
quote: Will the 14 sprocket bolts fit the ZX10 sprocket carrier?
Yes... but the 10r uses 6 nuts and the 14 uses 5.
