Sprocket socket

Do they make a special socket for the front drive sprocket?

That nut is on so tight just holding the brake dosent always work. Hopefully yours isn't as tight as some of ours. Get a 2x4 ready to stick in the rim to help hold it.

It's a 27mm, use only a 6 point socket, long breaker bar & someone to hold the bike from moving when that sucker breaks loose. The 2x4 is optional if the brake doesn't hold. Cursing & blood required.

What they all said, it's worth repeating, make sure you use a six-sided socket. It bears on the flats of the nut and will never round off the corners.

Hmm, mine came off fairly easy with my impact. 100psi set on the compressor, running through a skinny air hose. Few hits and it came right off. Bike wasn't even in gear...no tire on either.

Yeah I was quite puzzled as to why mine came off so easy...hopefully they didn't slack on tightening on other things..
