Chrome Windscreen

i know alot of you may bash me for this, but i am on the hunt for a certain windscreen. Its a Chrome-Double bubble-Transparent windscreen. The only kind i have been able to find is the junk Sportech one where you cant see through it. i have that screen on my R6 but i wanna be able to see through it when tucked. Has anyone seen any around??? Or if anyone knows if such a thing exists for the 14...ive seen them available for the gen 1 busa

Just buy a clear DB and take it to a windo tint shop to have then put the mirrored chrome tint on it. That way, you get the chrome look, and you can still see thru it

That is a GREAT idea !!!!

I'm going to try that one after the holidays when I buy my yearly allotment of parts. It should look good a Puig double bubble in a light smoke with a chrome tint on the inside.

Thanks !!

I would choose a clear screen every time. I tried a Busa belonging to someone else a couple of years ago, on the 2 mile runway at Woodbridge where we were holding a top speed meeting. This particular bike had an Iridium screen to go with it's very pretty paintwork. It was simply dangerous, you could not see clearly enough for ultra-high speeds when in a tuck.

I try not to add anything to my bike that doesn't have a performance advantage. Bling is for bike shows.

+1 that's what I would've done .
But I would stay with my clear for the street cause I use my windscreen to see out of sometimes.

It all depends on the darkness of the chrome tint. I have seen a light chrome tint where you can still eee thru the window, and I have seen a dark tint, where it looks like a mirror. Just do some shopping around for different shades of tint. You could probably buy tint a Wal-Mart and do it yourself as small as the screen is. I have a transparent red screen on my CBR and I love the look of it. Sometimes it does suck to see red everything when I am in a tuck at 100+ mph speeds, but I can still see clearly thru it, just seeing in a different color. I also had a dark smoked screen and it SUCKED to see thru. Tinting the screen is really no different than having a tinted or mirrored helmet visor

yeah i know some people dont like chrome. im doing a mix of both on my bike, so it should perform as it looks. i thought about the tint idea but im not even sure a good tinter could get it go along with the curves of the windscreen.

A good tinter can do it. Automotive windoes curve, more so back windows on particular cars. anyway, a GOOD tinter would be able to make two sections of the tint, one for each section of the bubble. if they are good with their knive, they can cut along the edge of where one bubbble stops and where the next begins

Actually there is one difference, you can easily change visors in poor light.
